This self-portrait was the first digital drawing I’ve ever done with Adobe Illustrator. This project’s goal was to draw ourselves by representing our personality through the piece. I am a very outgoing and bubbly person so the bubbles, swirls, and bubblegum within my composition express what kind of person I am.

The process behind this piece was that I took a digital portrait of myself in the CxC studio in LSU’s Design Building. I then attempted to draw myself best based on that image without tracing or using the eye-dropping tool. This was all drawn on one layer where I had to self-pick out the colors that were used that closely matched my skin tone and hair color accurately.
