PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS CD
“The Pursuit of Happiness” is a CD compiled with the most happy and lively songs over the past century. The CD is based on a personal experience I had before this project which included a pleasant car ride filled with upbeat songs with the windows down on a beautiful day. The purpose of the project is to create anything based on an enjoyable experience from that day. Mine, being surrounded by music and good vibes, thought a CD would be appropriate for my experience capsule. I designed front, back, and inside covers fun, bright, and happy which related to the joyful music that was played during my drive.
The goal of CD is to supply a track list of songs for people of all ages to put them in a good mood and create a feeling of happiness. Happy music improves life and benefits a person’s mental health. These songs will help benefit people's lives for the greater good as well as create a nostalgic feeling that will send them back in time to a joyful memory. The CD will bring everyone who listens together to one core idea that everyone wants, happiness. The playlist will show everyone how music evolves over time but the one idea that doesn’t go out of style and is still being expressed the same way through music over a century is happiness. The main intent is for the audience to almost feel like they are living in a timeless moment while listening to these songs. This playlist will be relatable and aimed towards all people, with no limit of age, due to the variety of music it will contain. The playlist will deliver 100 years of music, from 1920 to 2020, so it will reach a broad range of audiences.
