scenic market

During my senior year, I took part in a collaborative project to re-brand a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our client, Yolanda Kinchen, was looking for a “face-lift” to her family-owned business while trying to stay within an unknown budget. We proposed a solution to create her traditional grocery look in a very inexpensive way. The new designs were inspired by the desire to create a welcoming, hospitable, and safe environment for those in the community to shop for all their needs.

This was a group project between my colleagues Shellie Milliron, Cecilia Blanchard, and Kyllian Butts. We combined our ideas when designing the logo, signage, stationery, flyer, magnets, apparel/merchandise, and social media campaign.

Pictured above are the new signs for above the building and the pole by the road. Below are signs Scenic Market currently has at the store.

At the end of this semester-long project, we presented our ideas in a verbal presentation to our clients as well as the faculty and students at LSU. I, along with my three other classmates, walked through the process of our ideas when selecting new styles and branding strategies for Scenic Market LLC.
